ABC's "Desperate Housewives" stole the Sunday 9 p.m. slot from the network's other hit show, "Alias," which is due to premier in January and run straight through the end of the season (no annoying out-of-sequence episodes to mess you up, since the script is probably the most complicated in primetime television). General blog and viewer comments suggested it might take the place of "Boston Legal," on Sundays at 10 (and IMHO a very stupid show), but that was not to be. The success of DH has moved "Alias" to a new day, Wednesday, though it's still at its old 9 p.m. slot.
During the 9 p.m. hour this last Sunday, a very special promo of Jennifer Garner, alias Sydney Bristow, came on--an expensive, 30-second promo--to tell us that a very special "Alias" is beginning at a very special time on its very special new day in January.
So, Wednesdays at 9, you know where I'll be:
Out. And then when I get home, I'll download it and watch it whenever I feel like. I don't even know what's on TV on Wednesday nights (not football--that I do know) but I do know that Wednesdays are a night for being out, not in, like Sundays.
